Gary Ireland and Marshall Utiss started Ireland Contracting in 1994, roofing in their local community and building a reputation one project at a time. With close to 40 years of industry experience, Gary believes your home is the greatest investment you will ever make. His hallmarks are exceptional attention to detail, a commitment to quality products, and a team of Amish craftsmen whose work ethic is second to none. Together, they deliver a standard of quality that simply cannot be matched in the Pittsburgh market.
Diane Ireland

Diane Ireland has supported Gary and the entire Ireland Contracting team from day one. As a company that started small and grew through sheer commitment, Diane has worn every hat imaginable — from marketing and human resources to managing accounts payable and receivables. Most importantly, she is the voice of the company: the warm, recognizable presence you hear on all of the radio and TV advertisements. Diane is an integral part of everything Ireland Contracting has built over three decades.
Our Story
Gary Ireland and Marshall Utiss founded Ireland Contracting in 1994, roofing homes in their local Pittsburgh community. More than thirty years later, the company has grown into one of the most-recommended roofing contractors in the region — but the core has not changed. Diane Ireland has worked alongside Gary from the very beginning, and the family-owned ethos still defines how every project is staffed, scoped, and finished.

Dan Ireland
Electrician
Dan decided it was time to bring his electrical experience and join the family business in 2023. He had worked at a local family electrical company as an apprentice. His expertise covers full home electrical upgrades, generators, power fans, heat cables, ceiling fans, and indoor or outdoor lighting. No job is too small — he will figure out any problem you have.
Tim Barch
Sales Manager
Tim joined the Ireland family eight years ago when he made the leap from counter sales at a local distributor to our sales team. His greatest strength is his superior customer service and deep product knowledge. He enjoys the customer interaction and wants your house to be the best-looking on the block.
Tom Dunne
Sales
Tom grew up in Dublin, Ireland, so it was no surprise he ended up here at Ireland Contracting in 2021. After honing his skills at local roofing companies, Tom was drawn to Ireland Contracting because of our reputation in the industry. He brings honesty and integrity to each project at his home away from home.
Adam Chelli
Sales
Adam has been a front-runner in the roofing industry for 28 years. He started from the ground up and, even today, you can find Adam out in the field. He uses his wealth of experience to deliver unparalleled service to our customers. With his extensive background, he can find a solution for all your roofing needs — there is not a leak he cannot track down.
Lora Chiappialle
Administrative
Lora brings over 20 years of experience in the building materials industry, selling roofing packages, siding, and windows. She enjoys helping customers pull their color schemes together and guiding them through every step of their project. When Ireland Contracting opened the new showroom, Lora was the perfect person for the job.

Roofs for Troops & the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project
As an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred contractor, Ireland Contracting is a partner in the Roof Deployment Project — a program that provides free roofs to qualifying active-duty service members and veterans across the country. We are honored to participate and to have reroofed the Springdale, PA veterans' hall in June 2022. Serving those who have served is not just a project for us — it is a privilege.
